Dec 2008 - Fivium wins Environment Project Award

Fivium has been named winner of the Environment Project Award at this year's British Computer Society (BCS) IT Industry Awards in London.

The Environment Project Award recognises the growing importance of green technology and IT in helping to reduce the environmental impact.

Fivium had a strong showing at this year's awards. In addition to winning the Environment Project Award Fivium was also a finalist in the Business to Business award.

We are proud that our achievements in this area have been recognised by BCS.  It is a valuable endorsement for the positive contribution we are making to the industry and the environment. The UK Export Licensing System has revolutionised the export control industry and is now the envy of many export control organisations around the world.

Clayton Blake, Director at Fivium

This is a near perfect example of a business-driven IT project that clearly delivers in all areas. It demonstrates passionate and competent delivery from a small organisation, which surely has a bright future.

They demonstrate that taking the environmental impact of business processes into consideration can provide real benefits and results in terms of an organisation's bottom line.
