Our storyFivium was born from a desire to do better
Working at the Department of Trade and Industry, computer science graduates Matt Fletcher and Anthony Ashton saw more and more ways that they could boost government efficiency and reduce corporate exploitation. They believed they could deliver better digital solutions faster and cheaper than existing suppliers.
In 2005, they got their chance to make a difference. They pitched for, and won, the work to take over the build and support of an ailing critical project for a government licensing platform. Soon another government department came knocking, and another, and another. Fivium was born.
From day one, Fivium defined itself by three principles: 1. Understanding, 2. Caring, and 3. Delivering. Twenty years later, our ethos remains unchanged.
