The role

Fivium are looking for an Associate Delivery Manager to work with a range of teams across the organisation to deliver products and services ranging from bespoke digital services to on-boarding high-profile customers at the heart of Government to our SaaS offering.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for and a solid understanding of agile frameworks and principles, whilst also having an appreciation for the classic challenges faced whilst delivering products and services to customers, particularly those relating to commercial, schedule and risk management.

Core Job Responsibilities include:

Promote and facilitate agile practices as a means to delivering successful outcomes including, but not limited to:

  • Onboarding new customers
  • Module & Feature Activation and Adoption (roll-out)
  • Infrastructure moves
  • Development of Digital Services
  • Leverage agile metrics and frameworks to ensure that our customers and internal teams can work together and remain on track to deliver outcomes within budget and time constraints.
  • Coordinate resources from multiple delivery teams
  • Ensure transparency exists across all stakeholders, including:
    • Internal teams involved in the delivery
    • Senior management who require status updates
    • The customer
  • Use appropriate risk management techniques to identify and mitigate risks to the delivery of a successful outcome
  • Liaise with our internal Product Owner to prioritise work that is reliant on one of our SaaS scrum teams
  • Work with the head of Digital products to produce sprint reports that can be shared with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the production of timesheets for billing purposes and to track budgets.

Experience (Essential)

1-2 years’ experience in a PMO or Scrum environment

Skills and Qualifications

Agile and Lean practices - You understand agile principles and have a working knowledge of Scrum.

Planning - You can use agile metrics to provide delivery reports that include estimates and forecasts with appropriate amounts of risk tolerance, providing transparency around such tolerances, as well as around any assumptions and constraints included.

Commercial management - You understand how you can leverage agile metrics combined with time tracking to manage commercial aspects of delivery

Communication skills - You can communicate effectively both internally and externally, ensuring transparency exists throughout the delivery process and that customer and supplier feel like one team.You understand how to leverage tools such as Jira and Slack to reinforce the one team mentality whilst not being co-located.

Risk management - You have an understanding of traditional risk management

Software Development Lifecycle - You understand the key phases in the delivery of digital services

Process focussed - You can help a team focus on delivering the outcome whilst helping them identify and eliminate areas of process that negatively impact their progress and coaching them to make positive changes.

Team Dynamics - You understand that self organising teams are at the heart of Scrum and you know how to keep them motivated and focussed on delivering the best outcome for the customer.
