​Pre-lockdown, Fivium embarked on a huge recruitment journey; a journey which really started in June 2019. Here's how we're continuing that journey through the pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has touched and challenged virtually every individual, community and business globally. At Fivium, we have always focused on the importance of maintaining a healthy, happy and well-connected team, which has never been more relevant than now. Having those foundations already in place has proven vital in helping us safeguard our people.

Good mental health in the workplace has become increasingly important to me, not only on a personal level but also professionally too, as Fivium’s People Team leader. Breaking down the stigma around mental health is so important to us, so we’re proud to champion all efforts being made more widely to effect this.

In my last post, I talked about how we use accessibility clinics to help ensure we’re building software that works for everybody. Today, to mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re sharing the top accessibility issues that we uncover in the clinics.

At Fivium we’re dedicated to building software that works for everybody, regardless of any disabilities or impairments. We take this responsibility very seriously, especially because we’re often building services that people rely on every day to get their jobs done. One way that we make sure that our services are accessible is by running accessibility clinics. These are focussed sessions where we test out a service using accessibility tools with the people who are responsible for building the service.

At Fivium, though many of us do it, we aren’t home working experts. What we do know, though, is change management. As an IT Services company, we help our customers manage fundamental changes to the way they work. Here are some things we’ve learnt and how we’ve applied them in this situation that may help.
